For some people one of the biggest steps they can take is coming into the life of the Church, and by that enriching their own personal pilgrimage towards the Peace that only God can bring.
Each and every one of us has a spiritual dimension to our lives, and we should be trying to explore it and help it to develop. Although we can be put off by bad experiences, or even be afraid of where it may lead us, we still have a spiritual depth which needs to be encountered and nurtured. It will not go away, and we are injured if we try to ignore it.
So often we find ourselves running about trying to fill the emptiness which exists in our lives until we find God through Jesus. Other times we nurse the hurt and pain which the world has inflicted on us and which can only be healed by learning to trust people once again.
Again we may want to share our sense of joy and celebration, but the people around us don't want to listen. The Worshipping community at St. George's church has many people who have experienced all of these feelings - we are here to help you and to share with you.
The world which God created is good and we hope to live as close to that sense of Peace and wellbeing as we possibly can.
Whatever the stage of your own personal pilgrimage towards God you are welcome to share and explore the spiritual life which is so much an important part of our lives.
Please feel free to join us on Sunday Mornings at 10.30 am for worship, or for some of the other events which may catch your eye on our web site. I hope that this gives you a small taste of the life which we have to share with you.
